This is fairly perplexing. The state government has given a middle score, while their opposition have given a reluctant 4 stating more rural outreach is necessary. Yet the two involved stakeholders on the ground, Persatuan Kanser Network Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan (KanWork) and National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) are fairly unfamiliar with the work the state is doing regarding free screening for testicular Cancer. Either the programme is limited and not known by those even in the fraternity or the state government does little in the way of public engagement. The exco in charge, Dr Daroyah Alwi is a medical practioner and it would seem not limiting for her to engage the community, especially patients and their families, since those with family members with Cancer are in the higher risk group.
